Measurement of the actual situation of electrical energy consumption

According to DIN EN 16247-1, Part 1, an energy audit is a systematic inspection and analysis of the energy use and consumption of a plant, building, system or organization.

The aim is to:

  • examine energy flows.
  • present results of the analysis of the actual state.
  • identify potentials for energy efficiency improvements from this.

This energy audit must be carried out by all companies that employ more than 250 people, generate sales of more than 50 million euros or have a balance sheet total of more than 43 million euros. The only exceptions are companies that have introduced a professional energy management system or a validated environmental management system.

Regardless of whether your company is affected by the energy audit according to DIN EN 16247-1 or not, the fact is that according to the Federal Environment Agency of the Federal Republic of Germany, electrical energy consumption represents the second largest energy consumption in industry with a share of 30.8%.

Due to the constant expansion of the transmission network, which is necessary for the integration of renewable energies, and due to the increasing EEG apportionment, it is foreseeable that electricity prices for industry in Germany will continue to rise. For this reason, reducing energy consumption is playing an increasingly important role. The first step towards reducing energy consumption is a reliable measurement and assessment of the actual situation.

Our services:

As a service provider, we are specialized in the field of electrical energy supply. We observe and evaluate electrical energy consumption from all possible angles in order to identify all feasible energy saving opportunities.

The concept is designed in such a flexible way that the assessment of the actual situation of the electrical energy consumption is either based on already existing measurement data (active energy, active power) of the customer or on power measurements, which are carried out by our experts. The data are evaluated by software developed by the company Göbel. During the data evaluation, the time histories of the data are displayed. In cooperation with the customer, this data is then checked for plausibility and statistically evaluated. A pattern recognition is carried out to identify the behavior patterns (active power of consumers) taking into account the time (time stamp), which lead to the exceeding of certain energy consumptions.

Hubert Göbel GmbH offers the assessment of electrical energy consumption in three packages:
